Think you are safely guarding a piece just because you are attacking the square it is on? This isn't chess, so think again. A key aspect of Kung Fu Chess is that you are often guarding pieces that don't seemed guarded, such as with the "anticipate" tactic, but you are also not guarding pieces that do seemed guarded. For example, it is quite easy to take a piece while simultaneously cutting off the pieces guarding it. Always be aware of what pieces can move into your path.
